Bad day at the office for IAG FC
Skipper_AndyTwo defeats and a draw see early season optimism brought down to earth...

The second round of league matches saw frustration and some poor results for IAG. Up against Crumpsall Boavistas in their opening match, IAG went in fairly confident against a team they had beaten twice the previous year. No such repeats this time however, as the Manchester side completed a comprehensive 3-1 win with only a Pete Tattersall strike as consolation.
Improvements were seen in the next match though as a ding dong affair unfolded against Bolton which could have easily gone either way. In the end a blockbuster from Chris Tipton sealed a 1-1 draw which both sides agreed was probably about right. IAG's third oponents, Salford East, proved a tougher test however and IAG finished on the wrong end of a 4-0 thumping, although in truth the scoreline flattered the winners. Again, IAG rued some missed chances and although the results were not as they would have wished, they played some good football in patches and probably deserved a slightly better return for their efforts.
