Celebrations on the football front...
dsc_4543 1 26th April 2012 and celebrations for the Macclesfield and Stoke teams...

A day of mixed emotions for IAG FC as their results sealed the runners up position. Some heartache remained however knowing that had they not had to default their previous matches they might have attained the champions slot particularly when gaining unsolicited feedback from others who felt they had been the best team in the league.  Nonetheless, the day started with a Team X fixture against their counterparts from Stoke who gave an excellent account of themselves and will surely grace the First Division next year following their promotion as champions. It took a goal from David Dunn to earn a 1-1 draw, and it was Dunn on target again in the second match, along with Steve Melton to down Wigan Athletic A 2-0. A second Team X fixture and a 5-1 romp against IAG Stoke B saw the culmination of the season with goals from Dunn (2), Melton an own goal and a blistering drive from Andy Mulley to round off proceedings.Three good performances from the team as a whole and good to see Jon Naylor back in harness putting in his usal dependable shift. Outstanding efforts also from the energetic pairing of Huzzy Mustafa and Sean McCormick, skill and flair from Rob McNay and solid, tough performances from the reliable Chris Tipton and goalie Jamie Hyde. Despite the disappointment of missing out on the top honour, a great effort from all concerned and a predictable player of the year award for David "Dids" Dunn.
