| IAG FC (Plymouth) make their debut! |
 News from the West Country where IAG FC (Plymouth) made their competetive bow in a 5 a side tournament in Cornwall...Following an invitation, IAG FC (Plymouth) made their competitive debut in a 5 a side tournament in Cornwall at the end of May. The team, made up from players that had attended the first three seasons of It's a Goal! at Home Park, battled bravely to the semi finals only to succumb to the eventual tournament winners 1-2. Project leaders Rob Jackson and Sharon Claridge were on hand to support and encourage the team and Rob commented that given it was the first time the lads had played together as a team, they had done really well. He added that "although the lads felt achey at the end of the day, they were all really buzzing and saying how they wanted more of the same in the future." A big well done to all concerned and an indication of how well the project has done in Plymouth so far. |
