IAG play in Europe for a second time!
iag fc - munich centreIAG FC make their second foray into Europe for the Regenbogen Tournament in Munich, Germany...

May 18-22 and IAG FC flew out to Munich to compete in the 12th Regenbogen tournament. This year competitors arrived from England, Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic, whose Fokus Prague side provided the first opposition, winning the match 0-1. Luke Smith, Ryan Walker and Jesse Spatz then got the team off and running in a 3-2 win against German outfit Rebo Rangers. Spatz scored again versus the Germans of Plattling but IAG went down 1-2. Then, old rivals Hackney, pre tournament favourites, despatched the Macclesfield side 0-5 before the day ended with a goalless draw against Pro Move Graz from Austria.

Into the second day and a 0-1 reverse against Germans Real Bad Tolz was followed by a 2-0 success against another German side, Rebo Celtic with goals from Walker and Spatz. Walker was the lone scorer as IAG tumbled to Hackney once again, this time 1-6, and despite keeper Pete Sayers notching from a corner, Fokus beat them again 1-3. The final match, saw IAG easily beat Graz 3-0 with goals from Walker, Andy Mulley and the on loan Luke Goodrich. The two day event ended with IAG finishing 7th out of 12 teams and all who took part said they had enjoyed themselves, particularly the friendly spirit of the tournament which had been organised so well by Regenbogen's Stefan Holzer.
