 15th February 2010 and It's a Goal! lights up Blackpool...Great news for the Lancashire seaside resort as the It's a Goal! Foundation starts operating at the towns' famous football club. Initial interviewing will start on Monday 15th February in order to form the first Blackpool team, with the programme commencing in a further three weeks time. The Blackpool initiative spells the start of an ambitious plan to open programmes at a further five clubs in the North West and to restart at the biggest club in the country, Manchester United. It is hoped that by the summer, It's a Goal! will be up and running in ten football league clubs in England and four rugby union clubs in Scotland. |
