31st MARCH 2011 - It's a Goal! launches at Rochdale Football Club. A large gathering heard host Steve McVickers talk about the Nacro perspective and introduce IAG National Development Director Pete Sayers, giving his take on the history and background of the programme. Pete was followed by Karen Hurley, Associate Director for Commissioning NHS Heywood, Middleton & Rochdale who gave the NHS angle and Malachy Murray who once again gave an inspirational account of his personal journey. Rochdale IAG Coach Bobby Greenwood gave the audience practical information about the It's a Goal! programme and the launch finished off with a question and answer session.

It would be remiss also not to mention the hard work put in by Shabnam Sardar and Karen Hurley on the NHS side, and the support given at the event and before by Keith Hicks and Vinny Suggitt from Rochdale FC's Football in the Community section and by National Health Manager Dean Grice.

FEBRUARY 2011 - The official launch for It's a Goal! has been confirmed as Thursday 31st March 2011 and will take place in the Howarth lounge at Spotland home of Rochdale FC between 1-3pm.

MEET THE NEW IT'S A GOAL! HEAD COACH FOR ROCHDALE

JANUARY 2011 - Meet Bobby Greenwood, the new It's a Goal! Head Coach at Rochdale FC. The official launch date at Spotland has been pencilled in for Friday 25 February but has yet to be confirmed. It is understood however, that matches will take place at the stadium on Thursday afternoons beginning at 1pm. 

OCTOBER 2011 - Great news as a coach is appointed to run the programme at Spotland. News of his name and contact details will be on the site soon as well as dates for the launch and the start of the first season, both anticipated to be early in the New Year.
